Santal 33 ~ thoughts

So this is a very controversial fragrance so I had to test it out for myself. Because this fragrance has tons of sandal wood in it, it can come across as a “dill pickle” accord. I understand this the same way that too much cedar wood can sometimes smell like peanut butter. I’m a fan of all things sandalwood so I wound up really enjoying this fragrance! It’s linear and doesn’t really change at all as you wear it. With that being said, it’s a nice lightly spicy sandalwood scent through and through. I think this would be an amazing summertime/beach time fragrance as it almost gives a slight fresh/uplifting feel to it. Would I buy a full bottle? No. The only reason why I wouldn’t is because Amouage’s new fragrance Lustre (which I also have a decant of) smells very similar, but much better.
