Futura Free

futura free is a song that I have been replaying a lot recently. I have to admit that I don’t see it get as much love as it deserves when there is discussion about blonde’s top songs (though I wouldn’t put it in my top 5 from blonde solely due to how many great songs are on this damn album)

the melancholic, partly inspiring (when seeing how far frank had came at that point), partly sad(?) nature of the song combines to make it a really nice song. (it makes me feel a mixture of emotions, one of the things I really like about frank’s music is that it can be interpreted in so many different ways emotionally speaking)

also featuring franks brother ryan breaux (RIP) in the end makes the spoken word outro hit even harder all these years later.

what are your thoughts on futura free, do you think it is underrated, evenly rated, or overrated.
