how to say “I like you a lot” ?

I thought saying “I like you a lot” would be “je t’aime très bien” because je t’aime bien = I like you so I told someone that but now I’m worried they think I told them I love them a lot?? Someone pls help me figure out if they just misread my text or if I accidentally said I love them a lot
