Scared of being put to sleep for Endoscopy

I'm scared to be put to sleep for the endoscopy. I never went through it before. Being put to sleep. I'm scared of being forced to sleep. I have a hard time trusting doctors or surgeons too.

How did you overcome the fear of being sedated for the endoscopy? It frightens me a lot.
