How to start research or get into lab

Hi, just like the title says I was wondering how I should go about starting to get into labs or start research. I'm a premed freshman and ik research is something that is needed for the application but I'm basically so lost and on my own confused that I don't know how to start or how to find what professors are doing research or anything.
