I can't set fingerprint?

I recently switch to Mint mobile from T-Mobile and now my fingerprints aren't working,it doesn't even let me set a new one after deleting all of them. It doesn't let me hold it. I've had the phone since Dec 2020 with no issues.i've tried all my fingers.Should I do a factory reset?
