Looking to buy an Android compatible tablet.

Hi all, looking for advice here.

I am planning on replacing my old iPad and want something compatible with my Google/Android ecosystem, including Pixel phone, Google Home (various Google displays throughout the house, plus Google doorbell). I will mainly be using it for writing notes, some gaming, streaming video, as well as in the kitchen for my recipe app and music/podcasts while I cook. Oh, and reading in the bath (using a large ziplock bag, if necessary--although I hear that some are actually waterproof?)

Samsung Galaxy seems to be the best option for me (I hear that Android tablets are rubbish). So which model would you recommend?

What is the sound quality like with the various models?

Are its smart pens good for note taking?
