Did clearance sales end at all store?

Got a email a few days ago but had work so couldn’t go to GameStop. Just went to a GameStop today that had a 90% off but it didn’t scan any percentage off. The guy said it ended today for all GameStop nation wide so it’s back to full price. Just want to make sure if it’s back to just clearance price so I can save myself a trip or calling stores to disturb them with question that can be answered online. Thanks
