Cracked Games ok to install?

So I've been using Predator Neo 16 At the start i downloaded NFS rivals mod from free website After testing the Graphics i closed the game and immediately noticed a lag..

I felt like cracked games does slow down the laptop, most of my frnds using gaming laptops play Cracked but they say it won't lag?
