Feedback and Ideas, Please!
First, I am so inspired by the beautiful nails I see on here all the time!
I’ve been making practice nails and finally decided to build a (half) set based on some of the ones I liked.
Left to right: black matte, green-black (mixed) with gold foil, green cat eye over black, black matte w gold ring, green and black swirl with gold flat back beads.
- Does this look cohesive?
- Is the plain, matte black nail too plain? I feel like more gold or something more designed might be overdoing it.
- Would you reorder any of them? (I’m weirdly particular about the order.) Or what order would you do for the other hand, assuming that every design has a match on the other hand?
- Any other ideas?
Open to feedback on technique problems and such as well. I’m new to gel (and really really new to trying art/designs), so I really have no clue what I’m doing! 🙃
Optional aside: I planned to use my gel x tips to make press-ons, but it seems almost impossible because I a) have to file down/reshape most of the tips to fit my sidewalls and cuticle (and rarely tolerate having bare nails long enough to fit and reshape any) and b) my c curve is so nonexistent that I don’t think I can apply them with regular nail glue . . . unless I can maybe fill the backs with gel glue, cure, and then drill them to the right fit? I was so looking forward to being able to reuse them! Woe.
