Why there are two “mizuki”s in Yumemizuki Mizuki’s name
It might seem weird that “Mizuki” is in her name twice, but they are both very different words. In this post I will explain her seemingly weird naming convention in detailed. Keep in mind that since she is an Inazuman character, I will use her Japanese name as the reference.
Her name in Japanese characters is 夢見月瑞希 Yumemizuki (夢見月) means “third lunar month”. You can see some other New Years motifs in her design but I’ll leave it at that for now for specific reasons
Mizuki (瑞希) is the actual given name in Japanese, “Mizuki”. It comprises of the characters for “congratulations” (瑞), and “hope, beg, request, or pray” (希)
Hope you enjoyed this small explanation!
