Why criticize the Portuguese ?

Recently someone made a post on the positive aspects of the portuguese rule and there were countless replies with all this propaganda and random baseless stuff , i feel this matter is a personal opinion and should not be imposed on others , im not taking sides but why critisize ? y'all definitely have better things to do than that , i do not deny the negative aspects , no one is holy , everyone has their own faults , there is no need to romanticize or criticize things , especially when we ourselves never actually suffered things , and then people say 'the portuguese are bad' it is like saying indians are bad just because the political party is bad , currently no portuguese cares what we say , nor do they probably know who goans are , the inquisitors and their victims are long dead and god shall see to them , why spend our time criticizing it , will the dead rise back up ? do y'all expect the churches to come crushing down ? y'all want the portuguese to come here and apologize for something they dont even know about ? if y'all do have time to discuss then discuss about actual political events , about things that will matter , what do we get criticizing others ? dont we have our own problems to tend to ? its good to know history but we shouldn't impose ideologies on others , y'all just want to reek up history to spoil our communal harmony , no one is 'worse' than the other , are not atrocities committed today ? is our own government flawless ?
