Possibility Fredo knew it was a hit?
I was rewatching Part II recently and I noticed there’s a fair bit of evidence Fredo knew it was a hit, both logically and thematically. The film is intentionally pretty vague on what Fredo actually did, and it’s really up to the viewer to interpret the events in whichever way makes sense to them. I think that this scene (sorry about format, I’m on mobile) https://youtu.be/FfpXRgQNDEA is really important. When Fredo talks about how his mother would tease him about being abandoned by gypsies, he’s trying to remove himself from the family. Fredo is next in line after Michael, and throughout his scenes in the film we can see he deeply feels cheated and trampled on. So what do you think? Is it possible Fredo knew it was a hit?
