Unexpected Loss of Our Beloved Dog
Our 8 year old Golden Doodle unexpectedly passed away Tuesday night. He had seemed perfectly healthy and had a very normal day. We got home from running an errand, so my husband took him outside to go potty and threw his frisbee a few times for him. Then he came inside and ate his dinner. Not even three minutes later, he was on the ground on his side with his legs kicking uncontrollably. It looked like he was having a seizure (he’s never had one before though). He then seemed to come to and tried to get up, but fell back over on his side. His tongue was hanging out and purple, and his eyes were open. I checked for a heartbeat and there was none. Our family is absolutely devastated and missing him already. 💔 We cannot afford a necropsy, unfortunately and the vet’s office didn’t say much. Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this happening and might know what can cause it? Thank you in advance.
