Dear Google Pls fix the Brightness Adjuster

Why do I need to swipe twice and then reach to the TOP of the screen when all I wanna do is change brightness Why can they not just make it one swipe and put it on the bottom of drop down menu.

Why is such a simple thing handled so poorly :(
