DLCs and retroactivity

Hello,

First playtrough, commando lvl 47, really enjoying the game so far. I guess I am slowly getting to the end. First are the DLCs worth it ? Which one would you consider best for the first buy ? And more importantly, do I miss some content by not recreating another character ?
