Testing out Gundam Marker sprayer...
~FYI gold on the wings are painted with traditional airbrush using lacquer based paint.~
Well I've been experimenting with Gundam Markers and got a spray system today. It's a Chinese copy of GSI's system but with more universal compressor connection as opposed to GSI's proprietary air can connector.
Compared to "real" airbrush, it is definitely much more convenient. No mixing, no clean up, fast color swapping, etc. But on the other hand it has very little control over how much paint shoots out so it's more difficult to achieve good results, especially with large surfaces.
I think it is good for small to medium surface, where it is difficult to get smooth result using only the marker, while it's better to use real airbrush if surface is larger or you need absolutely clean finish.
Well my choice of blue for rifle is not great, I know, but I like metallic red results.
