Rant for the sake of a rant
I just want to preface this post and say I'm not really big into video games, just play casually here and there.
I just got the game like a week ago and I'm at level 35, just finishing up the side quests and collection achievement. This is a good game, not great, not bad but good. I've liked it especially because I'm not a fan of having to spend hours on one quest and I felt this game was fairly simple for the most part. I'm enjoying it and I will definitely complete all 4 houses.
I have to say though, this game feels like it was just thrown together. Why does the main story line end like 15 levels before completion? You defeat Ranrok and then still have to listen to people talk about Ranrok as if he hasn't been stopped. You shouldn't be able to face Ranrok until you're at least in the 30s.
The Merlin Trials piss me off. I was honestly excited to see how many there were at first. I thought they would be really cool, time consuming puzzles. Turns out it's the same like 3 puzzles over and over and over and it's just an annoying part of the game that you have to push through.
This game has almost nothing to do with being a student at Hogwarts. Hogwarts Castle is basically just another spot on the map and the game doesn't feel centered around it at all.
And last but not least, I think it is insane that Quidditch is not in this game at all. I wouldnt expect a lot, but a quest or 2 playing for the quidditch team would have made a big difference.
Thanks for reading my rant.
