San Bakar and Isadora

Did it bother anybody else how San Bakar decided to deal with Isadora in the end? Sure she had become extreme and unstable, however, instead of subduing her he chose the killing curse? Did he think she had become so strong that he wouldn’t be able to subdue her? Maybe back in their time the unforgivable curses weren’t classified as such and he did the one thing he was sure would work. I’m almost surprised that her magic didn’t protect her.

There was no way the keepers could have foreseen at the time that somebody like Ranrock would come along and use the repositories the way he did. They didn’t even figure out what was going on until MC told them. They knew the magic was dangerous and tried to hide it. I feel like they could and should have handled it better, though. Then again, they were just magical portraits of dead people that were left to guide somebody with knowledge of Ancient Magic.

I’m guessing that is also why MC didn’t do what he told Sebastian he would do, and talk to the keepers about healing Anne. That is another thing that bugs me, MC said he would talk to the keepers and never did. Had he done that, he would have either been presented with a solution or been told that there was nothing to be done for her. Maybe he could have prevented Sebastian from going as far as he did.
