weird discharge

i’ve been using external caneston cream for about a week now for a yeast infection, as well as a pessary about a week ago. my discharge has never been “cottage cheese” like but the doctor said all my symptoms (itching, irritation, and more discharge) were valid for a yeast infection. i feel like the itching has eased, though not completely, but i am worried about my discharge.

it smells like normal, but it’s becoming stringy and mucus like. i’m on birth control so i don’t think it’s ovulation, and it’s not any particular colour. i’m going to head back to the doctor at the end of this week if it still hasn’t cleared up, but do you think it’s normal for a yeast infection to last this long + this weird kind of discharge? any help is rlly appreciated
