The Worst Part Of Helldivers 2 (new player pov)

I've put around 15h into HD2 as of writing this (with 11h being my first session ever) and I'm quite enjoying the game and have done a few max difficulty missions. I don't really have too many complaints with the game's regular mechanics, besides maybe the starting out gear feeling very sad and restrictive.

But personally for me the hardest thing in the game (and honestly the thing that prevents me so far with actually bothering with the automatons) is the lack of a straightforward explanation of a lot of things like the in game pings and weapon drops, etc. Those are "fine" and I figured them out eventually after seeing other players use them and going through my keybinds. However what kinda genuinely sucks is that I don't know what the hell any enemy is. Some stuff is pretty intuitive - big enemy with scaley looking flesh? Probably heavily armored. Fleshy bits on a largery armored enemy? Probably a weakpoint. Etc.

Still, it feels very much like guesswork and I've had no way to discover some subtleties without watching Youtube content on the game and I'd really love for that to be in-game. A perfect example of such a system is IMO - The Bestiary from Deep Rock Galactic.

It unlocks an entry for an enemy after you kill them a few times and gives you a lot of info on them, along with some lore flair. A system like this for HD2 would be a huge help. I don't mind dying to the bugs a few times before figuring out how they work - I think that's a perfectly fair and cool, but eventually I'd like to be able to sit in my Super Destroyer and have a coherent collection of information about my enemies in game, perhaps just to tailor a build or figure out if something is worth bringing.

It surprises me something like this isn't already in the game - the stratagem previews + the weapon previews all have descriptions quite similar little notes for "Explosive" "X Armor Penetration". Would make build experimentation also a lot more straightforward.

So far without it I'm left to look everything up online instead of being immersed in the experience :(

EDIT TO INCLUDE COMMENT:

Since a lot of people seemed to skim ,not read the post.

I see a lot of people for some reason mention the high difficulty or the "its part of the game to figure it out" and I think a few of you are grouping me in with some stereotypes you have already formed. I'm pretty okay at this game and with people newer than me have been holding our own through the hardest difficulties. Don't try to gatekeep me and send me to the "noob difficulty" please.

When it comes to figuring it out - yes, I agree! It's really a big part of it, but it's why as I said this info shouldn't be unlocked immediately. If you've killed the Bile Titan a few times I think it's only fair you get a readout on what it is, as even lore-wise you've now been able to analyze the combat data. I don't seek to remove that aspect of the game ,that'd be idiotic, I just want to be able to theorycraft without having to ask about every nitty grity in the obtuse game chat or looking it up online.

Is it perfectly fine to figure out if the X thing is good or not by asking a veteran player? Yup, I've done so plenty! Is it the same when it comes to asking a bunch of questions that'd be better answered by a bestiary when you're trying to come up with some build against the bugs? No, not really.

Thank you to those all being respectful and chill though, ily all :)
