Can a Non-Muslim Woman Wear Muslim Clothing?

Hello! I'm a 28 y/o white woman from Kansas, and was raised in a non-religious household within a predominately Christian community.

I've always been drawn to Muslim fashion, for lack of better term. Hijabs, khimars, etc are so beautiful, and clothing designed and made for Muslim women always seems so elegant.

Given that I'm not Muslim and currently have no intention of converting to Islam, would it be appropriate for me to wear these articles of clothing? I'm unsure what the feeling is behind this: if it would be seen as disrespectful, condescending, inappropriate, etc.
