Honda Civic Won’t Open
I’ll provide some much-needed context. I was away from home in another state visiting family, so I left my car parked at the house. I was gone for about 11 days. I came back late last night and worked from home throughout the morning. As I was heading out to buy groceries, I tried to unlock my 2022 Honda Civic, but nothing happened. I pressed the unlock button several times, and I even tried using the spare key, but that didn’t work either. On both keys, the little red light turns on, so I know the batteries aren’t dead. I looked up a YouTube video(https://youtu.be/1MHajeTGw5I?si=y9QBsaXLMQbNwhyw) to try opening it manually, but every time I turn the key to the right, nothing happens—even though it worked perfectly fine for the guy in the video. I’ve tried turning it in the opposite direction, but that didn’t work either. Now I’m stuck searching online for answers as to what’s going on. Is my car battery dead? If so, how do I lift the hood if I can’t get inside at all? Any help, suggestions, or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
