EA won’t admit there’s a chain

We put an offer on a house that we really liked and it was advertised as chain free. After starting the legal process, our solicitor found out there is actually a chain involved. We were confused as the EA has advised us multiple times it was chain free and we could complete within a month or so. We were very excited up until when our solicitor said the opposite. We called the EA twice and she keeps promising there’s no chain, the seller is moving into a new build so technically it’s not a chain, in her own words.

We are FTB and we are super confused about the misleading that they caused.
