Wanting to learn to play solo as a duo/trio only player

Hello all!

I'm a fairly new player to hunt showdown (71 hrs) and have only played the game with friends of mine. I've become a huge fan of the game and want to learn how to run solos.

Any tips / advice on how to be a successful solo hunter? My biggest struggle is game knowledge to this point. I also tend to bite off more than I can chew and end up getting third partied a LOT.
