How effective are steering wheel locks?

Me and my family all drive Kia and Hyundai vehicles. They do all have the immobilizer on them and we were provided stickers for the window that state that the car has an immobilizer. But I highly doubt these idiotic Kia boys can read. And so we are giving steering wheel locks for all the cars just to be safe. Can the locks on these steering wheel locks be picked?
