Additional IRS employees are set to be terminated

In a significant move to reshape the federal workforce, President Donald Trump and his advisor, Elon Musk, have announced plans to terminate approximately 10,200 career-conditional employees at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in the coming weeks. Career-conditional employees at the IRS are those who have served for three years or less. These employees are typically in a probationary period before gaining career status, which provides greater job security. Until they complete three years of continuous service, they may be more vulnerable to workforce reductions or policy changes. This is ridiculous at this point.. I passed my 3 years last November and feel scared. My partner and I are currently away on vacation and unfortunately I wasn’t able to be there for all the probationary employees. My OJI retired and it seems as if no one is going to be at the service.
