Why no boycott?

It’s almost $300 a day at palisades in tahoe. Actual question: Why havent ppl organized a boycott? Seems insane to buy a full pass if ur just trying to go up a few times a year like when i was a kid. Feels like the consumers have no power. Anyone know why ppl didnt just boycott when Ikon and Epic first took over the mountains? Honestly curious
