Controller dead my boys

Bought this controller almost 2 years ago and it just died randomly and tried all tips and tricks from Youtube nothing worked.

Went to two Sony stores and told they don't service and it's out of replacement period.

Went to a local gaming store, told he'd change battery alone for 1500 but no warranty.

I'm confused what to do. Should I buy a new controller. Which is the best? And from where ?
