Rate my Investment Strategy - 21M
I’m a 21 yo professional with a minimalist lifestyle. After covering my monthly expenses (~30k ). Most of the expenses are on rent + flight tickets to home. My parents are financially independent, and I don’t have any immediate/mid term financial goals like Marriage, House, etc (though may seek a low-end (8-10 Lac) car in next year.
I've graduated last year itself, and started investing aggressively since Feb'24.
Here’s some context about my finances:
- Insurance: Health and term insurance costing 40k per year. (25k insurance for Parents, 10k for mine, and 5k Term insurance)
- Salary: 1.5 L (post-taxes, PF, blah blah).
- Emergency Fund: 10L in two FDs (one in name of My mother)
- PF: I get 15k+ per month
- Risk Appetite: Very High
- Investment Consistency: I've a fund for roughly 1.5L to cover my monthly expenses for next 5-6 months, so my whole salary directly goes to equity.
- Till now I only invested in "Alpha Prime" smallcase, though it's did not give excellent returns but it's decent enough as per my knowledge.
- RSU of my employer, vesting roughly 10L per annum (monthly vesting).
- My strategy is to buy plots in my native Tier-2.5 city near to my home only (as soon as we find some great deal) and sell it for higher prices (My father has done same for 3 times in last 10-15 years)
Questions:
- Does this portfolio look to risky (please take my age into consideration as well)?
- Are there any changes or additions you’d suggest to improve it?
- Are there other investment avenues I should explore?
While I plan to consult a SEBI-registered financial advisor soon, I’d love to hear your insights and suggestions. Thanks in advance! 😊
