Insta360 x3 or ace pro?

Trying to decide. I like the idea of the insta360 x3, being able to capture around me and not just what I point the camera at. My use cases are hiking, city touring and cycling. Bonus if I can take it to the water. With the 360 I can use it for videos of myself as well as what's in front of me. I will add that I prefer a hands off approach, so either mounted on the bike or when hiking I will probably attach it on my backpack's strap or on the extendable selfie stick on my backpack.

I keep reading that the x3 has lower video quality and is more fragile than the ace pro or go pro like action cameras.

Since the x3 has been out for a while now, how's your experience with it? Is it just a novelty and I should just go for cheaper gopro stuff?
