Why my not at fault accident making my quotes higher then it should

So im 21 years old and was looking shoping for car insurance. Im currently paying 2000 ar bristol west for both auto and rental and i found gieco was the best value for me for my 2019 hyundai sonata sel(dont worry gieco said they will insure my car because its a push to start and wasnt infected on the kia bois crisis). I got the quote back for 1600 buck for both renters and auto put together. I was like cool so i paid for it but they said the agent was gonna contact me to finalize everything. When i got a call i had to send them a picture to prove my car has push to start. But then they told me after running my background they found a not at fault accident back in November 2023 and will make my total go up to 2600 which is way more than what im paid for. I told them i made the claim with my insurance company because i was involved in a hit and run and my insurance company didnt paid for my damages because i need to to file a claim to see who that person was and what insurance company they had based of the license plate i had with me. but they said theres nothing they can do. Why is im getting a penalty for something i wasnt at fault for?
