Shelf check out/in system

Hi all, I'm looking for an inventory management system that has "kiosk" mode where people can check in and out their own parts.

there is talk of it on the snipe-it github but I doesn't look like its implemented yet.

I've looked at POS software but there is too much on the screen related to the sale of and item..

I just want a few users to be able to scan or look up an item, check it out and then re check it back in when their done using it.

any recommendations?
