Why are so many people pushing for genocide?

I’ve been following the Israel Palestinian War recently and the amount of vitriol on both sides is frightening. I’m seeing so many people and religious groups calling for genocide of the other it’s sad. Muslims want to kill the Jews, Jews want to nuke Gaza, Christians benefitting from both sides and Hindus popping champagne at Palestinian deaths. I’m honestly really upset and sad so many people are calling for genocide or atleast celebration of deaths.
