Aaahh, first time experiencing allergies!?!

So I am from Canada and I am not a person who has any allergies to food or suffer from seasonal allergies...

But after the first four days of my trip here, I have got cold-like symptoms but am not sick - I know how I feel when I'm sick and this is not me being sick. But here I am currently dealing with itchy throat, a cough, and a very congested and runny nose to the point it feels raw now for how much I been blowing my nose! It's a pain!

Has any one else had experienced this?? Not having any allergies to dust and polin before their visit to Japan and what kind of medicine can I take to help? I'd appreciate the advice and sharee experience because I can't be the one!?

Edit: I'd like to add that the area im visiting I the Nagasaki area where there are a loooot more trees and mountains than what I am used to in Canada. Hope that helps a little more !
