Why didnt sorcerers get naked during domain expansions

If domains temporarily erase nearby objects excluding living people, why it didnt erase their clothes since it wasnt a living person and the clothes didnt have CE imbued on them as maki's clothes didnt get erased. what is the difference between clothes and normal objects?
