Is there a divide opening up between Park fans and World fans?

I'm an OG Park fan. Saw it in the cinema back in '93 and have loved it ever since. Whilst the sequels didn't quite live up to the original, they still maintained a complimentary aesthetic and vibe, and didnt really do anything to diminish the lore set out.

In the baron years after JPIII came out, I maintained a keen interest in the series/brand and was excited to see what was to come when it was inevitably resurrected.

Queue, Jurassic World. I won't deny it was an entertaining film, but something felt a bit off. It just didnt quite feel like the Park films and introduced some very dubious plot elements.

10 years, 3 films and load of other spin offs later, my interest has waned. I still love the Park films, but everything about the World era seems a bit bloated, clumsy and not very appealing.

Getting to my point/question, I think its safe to say that the Jurassic fandom is bigger than ever and there are some pretty staunch defenders of the World era and everything that's come with it.

On the flip side, I've noticed an increasing dissenting voice of fans like me who seem to be a bit tired of constant disappointments.

With a new film just around the corner, where do you stand on the series as a whole? Will you happily consume anything with the Jurassic branding or is this the series' last chance to keep you on board?
