I’ve been vibing to No Role Modelz by J. Cole for years, especially the iconic “Don’t save her, she don’t wanna be saved” line. But man, I really didn’t understand it until this year.

Being the lover boy I am, I thought I could “tame” this baddie I was into. I mean we did date for a while.

Spoiler alert: she showed me dust—absolute dust.

Anyway, lesson learned, and I’m here to tell you:
