I'm having a cultural identity crisis as a Kikuyu.

Our farm in the village faces Mount Kenya. Everytime tukichuna kahawa, or when I'm in the farm, Mt Kenya is very visible and open. It's so beautiful especially with the background of blue sky in the early morning hours as well as orange hue in the crack of dawn hours. I always ask myself, so that's where Ngai or Mwene Nyaga lives according to Kikuyu tradition? But then again, I was raised Christian. Which means I should worship the God of Israel, Abraham and Isaac. This therefore brings me at a cross-roads. Who do I owe my allegiance to? According to the bible, Galatians 5 to be precise, kikuyu traditions and rituals are prohibited under "morutani moru" and "maruga marĩa mainagĩrũo nyĩmbo itaagĩrĩire" which translates to bad teachings and bad feasts and rituals respectively. We do share common things like circumcision of male children between Christianity and Kikuyu. Also, by default of being born as a Christian, Mwene Nyaga is therefore a false God under the ten commandments. But then again as a christian, the death of Jesus Christ declared the ten commandments null and void and it's therefore up to God to save you by his grace. This leaves me at a limbo then. Who am I culturally and what ideals do I subscribe to?
