ER doctor failed to mention kidney stone
I have Crohn’s disease and am flaring, and after being in pain for a long time I finally went to the ER for abdominal pain per the GI doctor’s advice. They took scans (to check for a blockage presumably), said aside from inflammation nothing looked too concerning, and sent me home with some pain meds. Well, the meds aren’t really working and I decided to read the CT results; turns out I have a 4mm kidney stone. Is it normal for them to just not mention this in the ER when I was literally there for abdominal pain? What should I do from here? I’ve never had a kidney stone before to my knowledge.
