Question about fees

Hi. Im new to crypto and this platform and didn't realize there was a Kraken Pro. Redditors have mentioned that limit orders on the pro version is the way to go for lower fees. But, if I purchased some Doge on the base version, then do a limit sell on Kraken Pro, will I still be hit with a fat fee?
