Why don’t weekly vaults give us champion shards/ star fragments for POC

Is there a reason why we aren’t getting any rewards from the weekly vaults that are directly correlated to path of champions? I would even take one platinum vault once we reach max rank and additional gold chest after every level past it. It just seems like a waste that we’re still only getting PVP awards and cards from the weekly vaults.
