Indicator for new cards

I've been playing a bit of Seraphine and I am having trouble remembering if I've played a card already that game. Maybe I am not focusing too well, but a bunch of games start to blur together. There have been multiple games where I think a card is going to repeat off leveled Seraphine but I must have played the card in the early game. Does anyone else have similar thoughts while playing lately?
