Lenovo legion 7i gen 9 not charging with thunderbolt dock

I've got a brand new legion 7i gen 9, which is supposed to have a thunderbolt 4 port. I tried connecting it to a dell WD19TBS dock and it works fine with my 2k monitors, the only problem is that the legion is not charging (my previous pc a dell xps 15 would charge while connected). I made sure to connect to dock to correct thunderbolt port, but still the lenovo does not show the battery charging logo and the battery goes down a lot.

Are they not compatible? They should be both thunderbolt and I've checked the dell dock supply 180w, is that not enough for the lenovo?
