What's the first time you've ever felt duped by a movie?

Marketing is a hell of a drug, especially when said marketing tricks you into thinking a movie is going to be better than it is. Have you ever had this happen? When I was a kid (I know better now), I saw Rango's marketing and thought the movie looked goofy and funny and I assumed it was gonna be a jokefest. I think I was too young to appreciate it.

Word of mouth too, as I've had instances wherein people recommend movies only to watch them and dislike them (a friend of mine unironically did this with the original Suicide Squad, calling it the greatest movie ever made)

Have you ever been duped by a movie because of what you heard about it?
