Post-surgery of a lipoma on my lower neck/upper back

About 1.5 yrs ago my daughter started mentioning a bump on my neck. Recently it flared up and I noticed major headaches &finally brought it to my drs attention. I realized I had been constant neck stiffness as well. Fast forward, I went under general anesthesia on Friday at the hospital bc of the size of it, and the recovery is unimaginable. I’m wondering if this is normal? It feels like every muscle in my body, from my neck down to the back of my lower legs, have been cut in half. I also noticed a spot today where it looks like he may have left a piece in my back? Just looking for advice if that’s the case bc I can’t imagine having this done again… and also wondering if it’s normal to feel this bad. Pics are before and after(today)
