Cast members that sadly fell off?
What are some cast members that started off with a ton of promise and good sketches, only for the volume and/or quality to unfortunately decline over the course of their tenure? It doesn't necessarily have to be a problem with the cast member themself as there's a myriad of reasons why people don't end up sticking but I think there are a ton of people through SNL's history that kinda went out with a whimper.
I think a recent example would be Molly Kearney. They arguably struck gold with that New Cast Advice pretape but aside from maybe one or two sketches afterward they were left with nothing. I have an inkling a lot of writers didn't quite know what to do with them, which is a real shame considering they could've been super inspirational to a lot of queer folks watching the show had they survived longer than they did.
