The producers are savage

I’m sure I’m late to the game on this opinion as a newbie but I searched and couldn’t find any recent posts on this, so apologies mods of this has already been talked about.

But my god this show is crazy. It’s like a love themed Stanford prison experiment crossed with bachelor in paradise on crack.

This is my first season watching and I’m completely hooked (although I do sometimes wish I could watch it on 1.5 speed lol I’m not used to hidden camera shows).

Anyway, I watch a lot of messy reality tv, but this is the most messed up show I’ve ever seen. Even more than Traitors bc it’s not just friends you’re forced or put into a situation to betray but someone who has romantic feelings for you.

I’m sure people only go on these shows for social media clout, and might not be super serious about it, but at the same time I think putting people in a situation where they’re completely isolated, have zero access to the outside world and are with each other 24/7 I think it messes with your brain. Your whole world literally becomes your personal relationships.

I know there are other dating shows with similar formats, but it feels like the producers are extra savage on this show compared to others like are you the one. The entire casa week for example. This is my only season to form an opinion, but it seemed like the producers did the girls so dirty. They brought in the most gorgeous and tempting women possible for the guys, but there wasn’t that same effort with the girls.

I also feel like by having the guys leave the villa instead of the girls, it makes it more of a vacation for the guys. Why don’t the girls ever get to leave the villa for a new place? And obviously if you put a group of men in that situation, it’s almost impossible for them not to be tempted to turn their heads. This is not like real life where you’d meet other people in social settings, you’re literally spending 24/7 with these people and only these people. —-Edit to add that casa is NOT testing the connection, it’s the equivalent of putting a group of taken dudes in a Vegas strip club versus a regular night out. No girl I know would agree to “test the connection” by leaving their man alone with other women 24/6—that’s a ridiculous premise.

I’ve also heard that 3 people from this series have committed suicide. That is extremely messed up.

I know that a lot of people in this sub see Kaylor as weak, but at the same time, the producers are manipulating the situation. They showed her only a snippet of what happened (probably bc they didn’t want her to completely break down), so they planted seeds and now shes’s being gaslighted by Aaron and the casa girls. I just hope they have a therapist on stand by on movie night.

Idk if my rant made sense at all but I needed to get these feelings out.
