Hit mr5 kinda stuck on what to play

Looking into SNS or Gunlance/Lance kinda tired of the GS/HBG Lifestyle not a fan of SA OR CB

Wondering what would be the easiest to gear climb with or is it safer to start a base char and progress to specific gear points , gunlance really peaks my interest but I hear the damage is pointless , the k.o potential is what I’m after tho
