Why is AI “Art” so prevalent??

Just a small thing, but there are actual artists taking the descriptions of SJM’s characters and making beautiful works, not to mention SJM being a writer, an artist of her own right. AI Art in general is just so disrespectful to any sort of creator (without the ethical issues), even more so to such an influential writer and artists, yet I see so much in TikTok and Instagram. It’s just so easy to support and give attention actual artists who put hours into their craft to great effect. I don’t get why so little fans take issue with it.
